Welcome to Sundaravana
Sundara Vana Farm is a sprawling farmland with a variety of forest trees and fruit trees (Mangoes, Chiku, Papaya, Banana, etc). The Farm is owned and operated by the same management that runs Jungle Inn. Being a fully functional farm we grow some fodder crops as well.
Location
Sundaravana is located just off the Hunsur-Murkal- Nagarahole road, about 6 km from the nearest town of Hunsur and makes for easy drives from Bangalore (185kms), Mysore (55kms) and Madikeri (70kms). There is a running irrigation canal at a stone’s throw and nearby is the Lakshmana Thirtha River.
Sundaravana offers a welcome stay for those who want a refreshing weekend break from a frenzied modern way of living. In addition to being a destination in itself, it is also an ideal base to participate in the best of Wildlife Tourism.
Being at a distance of 14kms from Nagarahole National Park (Rajiv Gandhi National Park) you can enjoy easy access to wildlife-related and Eco-Tourism activities in and around Coorg (Kodagu) the coffee plantation district as well.
What to do at Sundaravana
One of the best things you can do at Sundaravana is taking early morning or evening walks around Sundaravana. You are bound to come back with a sense of wonder and renewed appreciation for Mother Nature.
Inside the farm, you can play badminton or volleyball. Indoor games like chess and carom are available for guests.
One can visit the Tibetan monastery at Gurupura which is around 9 km from Sundaravana.
Tariff at Sundaravana
Double rooms are at INR 1800 per person per night, on a double occupancy
Family rooms are at INR 1500 per person per night, on multiple occupancy.
*a minimum number of 5 persons are required to reserve the family room
** The tariff includes three meals, starting with lunch and ending with breakfast.
Accommodation and Meals at Sundaravana
At Sundaravana, we offer simple and clean accommodation comprising of double rooms and family rooms with en suite bathrooms that have hot and cold water. The farmhouse has tiled roof for a rustic atmosphere. For groups of twenty or so, this is a perfect idyllic holiday destination as the rooms are close together and you could almost have the place to yourselves.
Enjoy sumptuous homely meals served buffet style in the thatched ‘restaurant’ and sleep away the city life, after some star gazing of course.
